Cristiano Ronaldo expects to reject £232m Saudi Arabia transfer offer

Following a proposal worth more than £2 million a week from a Saudi Arabian club, Cristiano Ronaldo has been given the opportunity to surpass all previous footballers in terms of salary.

A two-year, £232 million contract is reportedly what the unnamed Saudi Arabian club has offered to Ronaldo. This translates to a weekly income of £2.24 million.

Although the offer is more than five times what Ronaldo, 37, currently makes at Manchester United, is expected to reject it. Kylian Mbappé reportedly signed a £50 million contract with Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but the bid would surpass that figure.

Ronaldo's current Manchester club is unwilling to sell him, despite the Saudi club's willingness to pay United roughly £25 million as a transfer fee.
