Tuesday, January 31, the High Court in Tamale will hear the case of the four individuals who have been accused of corruption by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) as a result of its investigations into the operations of the Northern Development Authority.
This morning, the case of the four people accused of corruption by the OSP following its investigations into the actions of the Northern Development Authority will be heard in the High Court sitting in Tamale. This will be RAHMAN, ENGMEN, SEIDU & KUUNAARI's first court appearance.
The Northern Development Authority's Chief Executive, Deputy Chief Executive (Operations), and Deputy Chief Executive (Finance and Administration), respectively, as well as the Chief Executive of A&QS Consortium Limited, Mr. Andrew Kuundaari, have all been charged by the OSP with conspiring to, directly and indirectly, influence the procurement process in order to obtain an unfair advantage in the award of a procurement contract.
Mr. Stephen Yir-eru Engmen has been charged with two additional counts of the same offense, while Mr. Sumaila Abdul-Rahman, Mr. Patrick Seidu, Mr. Andrew Kuundaari, and Mr. Stephen Yir-eru Engmen have been charged with one additional count of each of directly and indirectly influencing the procurement process to obtain an unfair advantage in the award of a procurement contract.
On Tuesday, January 31, 2023, the four defendants will be brought before the High Court Criminal Division in Tamale.
This comes after the OSP, in accordance with Reg. 31 (1) (g) of L.I. 2374, published its Corruption Report on its investigation into the operations of the Northern Development Authority.
