The Ghana National Gas Company (GNCC) has informed the general public that the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant (GPP) is undergoing maintenance work that is affecting the supply of gas used to generate electricity.
According to the ECG office, a few power plants would be affected over the next weeks, resulting in a few power interruptions for consumers around the country.
The Energy Ministry has sent the public a press release outlining the steps they are taking to deal with the upcoming negative consequences by obtaining additional gas from Nigeria.
According to a second statement from the Ghana Grid Company Ltd. (GRIDCo), some ECG customers will experience a brief disruption in their power supply.
