It was a sad day for celebrated Ghanaian actor Ras Nene when he was left high and dry by Achimota Mall, preventing him from shooting a skit with Efia Odo.
The Achimota Mall management, citing security reasons, did not allow the shooting of the skit at the premises and even went so far as to call in security personnel to ensure that the production team complied.
This led to the visibly angry Nene losing his cool and storming off the set. The actor obviously felt cheated as the Achimota Mall management had given clearance for the shoot earlier but changed their minds half way.
The skit was to be a reality comedy show, which is a favourite of fans of the pair. It was to be shot at the Achimota Mall. Efia Odo, who is always seen in skits with Nene, was on set and, as expected, took to social media to share her dismay with the denial of permission.
Already, Achimota Mall has been in the news in recent times for different reasons.This latest incident has been another blow for them in the eyes of Ghanaians.
The Achimota Mall management has yet to make a formal statement about the incident but many believe that preventing Ras Nene and Efia Odo from shooting at their premises was a poor decision that will not do them any favours in the eyes of the public.
Clearly, Ras Nene still remembers the incident and has made it clear he may never go back to Achimota Mall. He went so far as to advise his colleagues in the movie industry never to take their productions to Achimota Mall again.
