It is with heavy hearts that we report the tragic passing of a young VIP driver, Frank Op, popularly known as Weezy, who met his untimely death in the early hours of September 21, 2024. Frank, believed to be between the ages of 30 and 35, was on his usual long-distance route, transporting passengers from Tamale to Accra, when the unfortunate incident occurred on the Niifio-Apadwa stretch of the Accra-Kumasi Road.
Eyewitnesses recount that Frank was driving cautiously, staying within his lane when a fuel tanker unexpectedly veered into his path. The sudden collision left little time to react, leading to a devastating crash. Despite efforts, Frank's life was tragically cut short at the scene, leaving his passengers and those who knew him in shock and grief.
Weezy was widely admired for his professionalism and friendly demeanor. His sudden passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and colleagues. His dedication to his job as a VIP driver earned him respect within the industry, and his loss is being mourned far beyond his immediate community.
