In exchange for their victory over Argentina in their World Cup opening match in Qatar, each member of the Saudi Arabian national team will get a Rolls Royce Phantom, according to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
Tuesday's Copa America champions were unexpectedly upset 2-1 by a tenacious Saudi Arabian team despite all odds being against them.
It's not the first time a Saudi Arabian player has received a Rolls Royce. After scoring the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Belgium in the 1994 tournament, Saeed Al-Owairan was presented with one of the high-end vehicles.
However, in 2022, despite having seven-time Ballon d'Or winner and arguably the best player in the world on their roster, Lionel Messi, a struggling Argentina was unable to earn a point despite controlling the game for the majority of the time.
