Kanye West has avoided the media in recent weeks, but he is reportedly traveling to Ghana to attend the Black Star Line Festival as an unexpected guest.
Ye is expected to travel to Africa and make a special performance at the event in Accra, which is being put on by two of his pals and fellow Chicagoans Vic Mensa and Chance The Rapper, according to DJ Ebenezer Donkoh.
The New York DJ posted on Twitter on Thursday, "I'm receiving news that Kanye West will be the surprise act at the Black Star Line Festival in Ghana this weekend" (January 5).
On Friday, January 6, the Black Star Line Festival will take over Accra with a free concert for fans that will feature headlining appearances by T-Pain, Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Erykah Badu, Jeremih, Tobe Nwigwe, and more.
Vic Mensa announced that he is bringing potable water to numerous sites throughout Ghana before the festival.
According to reports, it would take three to four weeks to complete the borehole drilling, which will involve drilling on-site for 10 to 15 days before installing cable and pipe.
