The University of Education, Winneba's Electoral Commission, in accordance with the SRC revised Constitution 2018, Article 13 Clause 2(ii), is pleased to announce the lifting of the ban on all campus students' politics for the 2023/2024 academic year. This pivotal decision marks the beginning of a new era of electoral activities, allowing students to engage in the democratic process and participate in shaping their leadership.

Lifting of the Ban:
As per the SRC revised Constitution 2018, Article 13 Clause 2(ii):
"It shall, in consultation with the Dean of Students Affairs, the Local Executive Committee, and the Judicial Board lift the ban on Campus politics and call for fresh nominations for or before all elections."
Effective Monday, 22nd July 2024, the ban on campus politics is officially lifted. This move empowers students to start their electoral activities, adhering to the laid-down procedures.
Guidelines for Campaign Activities
To maintain a fair and organized electoral process, the following guidelines must be observed:
1. First Ban Limitation:
- Only the declaration of intentions is permitted.
- Campaigning with the caption 'Vote For' is strictly disallowed.
2. Posting Restrictions:
- The posting, pasting, and hanging of posters, banners, and stickers on furniture, ground, floor, and staircases within the University community and its township is prohibited.
